We're currently seeking a dynamic, success-driven Cost Estimator to join our growing Charlotte, NC team. In this role, you will provide highly responsive cost consulting services in one of the firm’s core business lines. Cost Estimator Responsibilities:
- Create estimates, studies, analyses, and evaluations, at all levels of project development.
- Provide conceptual-level estimates, detailed quantity take-off, change order reviews/reconciliations, and value engineering solutions as necessary.
- Provide a detailed review of all documentation and develop comprehensive cost estimates/models that communicate client’s project and strategic goals.
- Ensure a quality product is presented to the client by adhering to QA/QC procedures.
- Communicate effectively through clear and concise means appropriate to the project goals.
- Actively research, solicit, and develop sources/vendors for compiling and maintaining accuracy of cost information.
- Oversee, mentor, and develop other Estimators in the region.
- Support business development efforts by developing, promoting, and maintaining client relationships through the creation of cost exhibits for proposals, meetings, presentations, etc.
Desired Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience cost estimating for vertical construction and engineering projects, covering areas such as conceptual estimates, take-offs, change order analysis, and value engineering.
- Skilled in interpreting construction documents accurately across all stages of design.
- Proficient in using On-Screen Takeoff (OST), MCACES, Destini, or comparable industry softwares.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and strong familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture preferred
